Compression stockings
Wearing compression stockings can be beneficial for all people. Those who are particularly in need of compression stockings are people with varicose veins, swelling, tired legs, the need for increased circulation in the lower legs, blood clots, various types of edema, after varicose vein surgery, during pregnancy and many other indications.
If you have never used this type of sock or if your doctor has recommended ‘support socks’, you may want to start with a light compression, usually starting at 15 mmHg. If you feel that you need more support, we recommend that you discuss it with your doctor to ensure that you do not have contraindications to the use of higher pressure such as diabetes or heart failure.
If you are in any way unsure of what to wear, we recommend a visit to our store, where our knowledgeable and experienced staff will help you. In the store, you can also try on the sock before you buy it. You don’t need to pre-register, but if you have swollen legs, we recommend a visit in the morning, when the swelling is usually less.
Tired of beige and black socks? Now we have added Medi’s mediven plus sock to the range in a range of exciting colors in all pressure classes, such as knee sock, thigh sock, and pantyhose.
