Wearing compression stockings can be beneficial for all people. Those who are particularly in need of compression stockings are people with varicose veins, swelling, tired legs, the need for increased circulation in the lower legs, blood clots, various types of edema, after varicose vein surgery, during pregnancy and many other indications.
Compression socks in compression class 1 (CCL1) have a compression at the ankle of 15-20 mmHg and are recommended for the treatment of simple venous problems, such as incipient varicose veins. Class 1 support stockings are also used to prevent heavy and swollen legs and fluid retention in the legs.
